Garces Counseling Services

Providing specialized counseling services for children through play therapy, creating a nurturing environment where young minds can thrive.

Who We Help

Children & Adolescents Ages 8–17

I provide counseling services to children and adolescents ages 8–17 experiencing a range of emotional, behavioral, social, and mental health concerns. Services are individualized to each client’s developmental level, strengths, needs, and treatment goals.

Children with Trauma Histories

I work with children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic or stressful life experiences. Counseling may incorporate trauma-informed care, play therapy, and evidence-informed play-based interventions to support emotional processing, coping, safety, and resilience.

Emotional & Behavioral Concerns

Services may support youth experiencing concerns such as:

  • Anxiety, worry, or fears

  • Depression or low mood

  • Anger and emotional dysregulation

  • Behavioral challenges

  • Difficulty coping with transitions or life changes

  • Social or interpersonal difficulties

  • Self-esteem and confidence concerns

  • Grief and loss

  • Adjustment to family or environmental changes

How We Help

Play Therapy & Play-Based Interventions

Play therapy and evidence-informed play techniques provide developmentally appropriate ways for children to communicate, express emotions, explore experiences, and develop healthy coping skills. Interventions are selected based on the child’s developmental needs and individualized treatment goals.

Individualized Family Support

Treatment may include a combination of individual counseling sessions, parent consultations, and family sessions, when clinically appropriate. Collaboration with parents and caregivers can help strengthen therapeutic progress and support the child’s emotional and behavioral development beyond the counseling setting.

Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment where children and adolescents can build coping skills, process difficult experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop resilience.
